After 24 days of continuously calling the Disability Dept. Toll # and consistently being told to just keep trying...... I was so pleasantly assisted by every individual I encountered at the Indio Ca Work Force/ EDD / Disability office. Thank you Romina for. Thank You Debbie. The location is not open due to COVID-19. The best way to ask a question to file for unemployment is online. www.edd.ca.gov

You can go to the EDD home page a select "ask edd" send them a message with your change of address. You dont need to log in for that
Office is currently closed to the public. Appointments only. BUT this isnt the EDD office. Its the workforce development office. Their office doesn't have access to EDD database.
I dont know for what purpose anyone would bring alcohol to the workplace. In any occasion it isn't ok whether it be a gift or anything else. It gives a big impression that the employee drinks not only out of work but at work as well.. I dont think you will be awarded unemployment because the unemployment has to speak with your boss to see what the reason for termination was. However, if you feel you were wrongfully terminated like you say the hire a lawyer to go over your rights. If you cant afford one then look for probono lawyer . I'm not legal adviser but simply responding to your concern. I'd fight got it especially since you say you didnt drink on the job.

I have been calling EDD like everyone else only to be hung up on. This call was at 8:01 this morning. I will be an in person appoint at the EDD in Indio, CA
Unfortunately you have to set aside a day when you're just going to keep dialing until to get in the queue. It's frustrating I know but that's the only alternative. There's no one in the offices. So that's you're only hope. Try calling the number later after hours I was told you may get answered up until 9 pm.
4 people were in line 8 am, walk-in. I was #2. It's not an EDD office even though the sigh outside on the building says so. Security took temperature, sign in, checked ID. Walked inside, one female employee in the cubicle from glass window said to call 800 EDD phone number for any questions and said same for all 4 people. Also, can use their land line phone for 2 hours to contact 800 EDD. This was last week. June 15th CA is reopening, things may change. Try and walk-in.
