The grounds look great, but the birds areas are filthy.

This place is incredible. The flights and housings are big and plentiful. And the awesome care given allows these birds the ability to spend thier lives living in a natural type habitat . Bob rhe owner is intelligent, caing and always looking 2 to 3 steps forward on how to be able to make this Sanctuary better. Its a Sanctuary a Learning Center and a God Send. If you are a Parrot lover like me and care about what happens to these lovely creatures when they can no longer be cared for by their owners either donate time, money, or both. I will for sure.

The hyacinth macaw is the largest macaw by length. It's a little over 3ft long.
No. It's a rescue and sanctuary for the birds to live out the rest of their lives. They out live a human. There are birds that are 28 to 75 years old. Alot are from the elderly and from people that have passed away.
Yeah they do not relocate birds to other homes. I visited there some years ago to collect some feathers for a friend that made jewelry. The property owner told me he does not find them new homes with other people. Since many people did not know how to care for them or what they were getting onto when they got their bird(s). So he gives them a forever home where they can be with others of their kind.
