I don't give it a lower rating because you can't... Honestly, the service was lousy, poorly organized, they don't have tables to eat inside to order, it's a serious problem.... The only good thing is the food and for what it is... The employees with negative attitudes from the moment you enter... The owners should pay the employees more so that they give better service and they are also closed on Sundays

Everything was fine but I asked for my appetizers to take away and they didn't give me napkins... Besides, I only ordered 1 skewer and 2 empanadillas and that's why they charged me $12 too expensive for what I ordered...and they should also take care of customers to the lady who charges since she always has that face of a bitter person that implies that she does not mind attending and that she does not like her work the day I went they left me waiting 1 hour for a simple order and she did not even approach see what my order was seeing me standing in front of the cash register... She is not good for serving customers...

Today my niece and I decided to go to El Coqui for some sandwiches and was very disappointed. 1. 1out of 3 sandwiches had a ball of hair in it, this sandwich was for a person who has been recommended to you, this person bit into the sandwich and pull out a bunch of hair, the person fell ill and has clocked out for the remainder of their shift. 2. 1 of the sandwiches I asked for fried eggs and got omette style eggs. 3. Waited over 30 minutes for messed up sandwiches, also not enough personnel in the kitchen. EMBARRASSED AND DISAPPOINTED!NEVER AGAIN!

If I had the option I would give them 0 stars. The girls in there are always having conversation within themselves instead of being considerate of our time. There been 3 different occasions where I have waited my turn in line & they have taken others before me. All 3 times I left. The last occasion was when I was being attended at the bakery side & the lady with long black curly hair went to attend other people & did not finish assisting me. She didn’t even seem happy to be there. I just know I’m done going to el coqui restaurant. I’m sick of the bad customer service. They need to change all their front staff and replace them with new ones.
