Great customer service.

I tried to apply for my passport here. I had everything already filled out- my form, my documents, my photocopies. My appointment was at noon, and I did arrive 1 minute late. The lady at the window was nice and informed me passport services were in the lobby, so I went there. The 2 men at the passport area were talking and did not acknowledge me. One walked away and the one man sitting there still said nothing. I greeted him and he just said hi back, not asking what I needed. I told him I was there to apply for a passport, he said I'd need an appointment, I said I had one. He told me that it was past 12. I said okay, not understanding if that meant I was supposed to leave... then he said that he couldn't come out to me, so I'd have to come to him, even though I was standing right at the window. I've worked retail my whole life. I know how to deal with people, with respect, even if they're annoying me. I left because I felt this man would antagonize me through the whole process and that's not what I wanted on my day off.

I made the grace mistake of making an appointment for my passport application at this location without checking the reviews. I never thought it could be this bad, after all, how could things go wrong with something as simple as submitting your passport application, I was wrong. I’m in an absolute RUSH to get my passport because my sisters wedding is in a month and I finally had time to stop by to do this because I travel very often for work and never have a chance. The clerk who is a large African American man tells me the package my immigration lawyer put together won’t work and denied me sending in my papers. Total waste of time, now I need to go straight to Detroit to talk to people who actually know what they’re doing and that have formal education.. scratch that, common etiquette to at least say Hello, how can I help you?

They should it's a large office
Not sure about signing up online because you still need to go in person to collect the keys! Anyways we went there around 10 days ago to get a PO Box. They give you a form to fill in, which takes couple of minutes to fill in. Then you go back to the counter staff along with 2 IDs. There is a weird requirement. You need to produce one with a photo ID and another document for proof address WITHOUT a photo ID (When we produced 2 with photo ID it was rejected. We need to show vehicle registration for the one without a photo ID) The process takes <5 minutes. You pay the fees and they give you two keys. It is advisable to check the key with the PO box before leaving

Our windows close at 7 but if you need it to go out the same day you need to get here before 5.
Many United States Post Office locations offer passport photos in addition to accepting your passport application and other related paperwork. As of July 2011, the cost for getting your passport photo taken at a USPS location was $15.
