Very professional staff. If you are making a purchase, call ahead and they will set a room for you with options in your price range. They are quite busy, but very helpful!

Great quality, great service ! And, I love the tent sale -- items for sale inside and outside the store.

Hi Nivea, they also have a rental program. It is not rent-to-own, but rather like rent and get credit on a purchase. If you live in town, the rental violin they give you is one step up compared to those rented to people ordering off the internet.
I'm not sure about cases.
Thank you for your question! We typically will accept donations that are in playable condition. If an instrument is in need of extensive repairs, we would not be able to accept it. If it is playable, you could consider donating it to a school or local arts organization.
That is strange. The Aaron I know is very professional.
Yes, they rent cellos. Price is determined by the level, i.e. beginner, intermediate or advanced. Awesome shop, highly recommend!!
I don't understand the fix. If it's loose tighten the peg. If it's unwinding, I'd suggest you just buy a new one, they aren't that expensive. They have string in all price ranges. Great shop!!
Not exactly sure of question. If your viola is of a good quality they may take it on trade for a purchase. We have always upgraded our daughters violins here.
Hi CV! Yes, we do have a trade-in program for our student instruments. I would suggest calling one of our Sales & Service Professionals at 1-800-248-7427 to talk through your options.
Unfortunately, we do not carry any pianos, electric or otherwise. Sorry for the inconvenience!
It depends on the level of the bow. Violin bows at SHAR start at about $30 for a wooden student bow, but can cost upwards of several thousand dollars for something at a professional level. Check out their website to see options by price.
SHAR uses all natural Mongolian horse hair on all their fine bows!
Depends on what kind of string you're looking to buy. A violin E string could be $1, whereas a cello C string can be $100+. Check out their website, or give them a call. They'll be able to steer you in the right direction.
Hi Kevin! If you are returning something for a refund, make sure to call Customer Service at 800-248-7427 for a return authorization so we know the return is on the way. At that point, they will give you return instructions and a return address.
There is only one Shar Music. It is located at: SHAR Showroom 2465 S. Industrial Ann Arbor, MI 48104. Shopping on their website is also an option.
39.99 for a standard cello rental within Michigan.
Go on their website and look under rentals. The prices are on there. Plus, when you call them they have great customer service and I'm sure they will help you with whatever you need.
