The 1st time I had Shawarma I fell in love. I was 18. I couldn't even remember where my friend said she got it but it was in East Dearborn. Later in life living in East Dearborn I was always trying Shawarmas. You can throw a rock and in East Dearborn and not hit a Shawarma spot. They're all unique in their own way and all good. But, a Shawarma is not a Shawarma without pickled turnips and garlic sauce. I get the pickle thing but there is nothing like a pickled turnip.I ate a Tuhamas for the 1st time 2 days ago. I went back today. I found my Shawarma spot.
