My husband and I have banked with DFCU for a number of years now, and we’ve had nothing but pleasant experiences working with them, until lately and specifically at the Provo Branch. Back in June or August of this year, we went in to get a credit increase to help build our credit, and while they did increase our credit, they also opened us up a whole new line of credit on that same day, severely hurting our credit. And now we have to wait a while to open up a new credit card with SkyMiles or Amazon to earn rewards (the rewards on the DFCU rewards card are practically nonexistent). They did nothing to correct the problem despite us calling customer service on several occasions. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the worst of it. Back in August, we met with the financial planner there to open up a Roth IRA and invest some money. Following this meeting, no action was taken. Even after 3 or 4 follow-ups and nudges over the next three months, still no action was taken. This week we came to find out that the man who was investing our money no longer works for DFCU. That would have been nice to know. Very unprofessional for them to not have communicated that to their members. Not only has our financial situation and credit been hurt by this institution but so has our trust. We have loved DFCU, and I believe that this credit union is run by well-intentioned people, but some changes need to be put in place to improve their communication, professionalism, and customer service. As a result, we have moved all our money to another credit union.

Told them I got some suspicious activity in my card. They canceled/refunded the transaction and printed a new card right then.

You’ll need to go to a branch. Any of our branch locations can help you reset your debit card’s PIN. Use our map to help you find a nearby location. Additionally, if you’ve forgotten your PIN, we can send the current number to you through the mail.
Call us at 801-456-7000. When you get to the automated menu, select the number that leads you to talk to a card specialist and we will send you a new/replacement card within 5-7 business days free of charge. If you need a card quicker, stop by a branch! They can instantly issue a replacement for you.
