Mr. Schmidt's method of teaching was extremely helpful for the SAT. His tips and tricks to complete the SAT helped me work smarter and helped me achieve my full potential. After taking his class, I can say it was well worth the money and because of it I was able boost my SAT score by over 200 points. He is dedicated to his students and truly invested in helping us, I also especially loved his refresher classes that helped me stay on top of learning and keep my knowledge up to date. His method of teaching has also helped me with other standardized tests such as the Keystones and AP tests!

Peter Schmidt’s SAT prep class is worth your time and money. My daughter struggles with test taking, and the strategy he teaches goes far beyond any practice sites you will find on your own. This prep class also made us realize she is much more suited for the ACT, and we were very pleased with her score this year!

Our son very much enjoyed this program. He participated in all online classes and felt thoroughly prepared for his SATs. I highly recommend this program.

Class sizes range from 5-10 students during the fall, to 10-15 students in the winter, 15-20 students in the spring and summer.
Tuition is $999. Students at schools that collaborate with PREPARE receive a $100 host-school tuition discount. Many host schools make PREPARE’s flyers available in their guidance departments, and hold information sessions for their counselors, students, and parents.
Students need to bring a binder, some index cards, some notebook paper, some #2 pencils, a calculator, and a watch.
Students and parents can e-mail, text or call PREPARE at any time. PREPARE will typically respond to students within a few hours.
Collaboration is very important in this process. Parents should be sure that their children are spending quality time on their homework (usually about two hours between classes) and asking questions in class or via text/email whenever they need help.
PREPARE compares the scores from the students pre-class official PSAT, SAT or ACT tests to their official results after they have taken the class and throughout their high school career. PREPARE’s students typically see a 150-250 point increase in their PSAT and SAT scores after they have completed the PREPARE course. Students also receive detailed comments on each of the three diagnostic tests (a PSAT, an SAT, and an ACT test) they take during the course. PREPARE reinforces the things students are doing well on these tests, and alerts them about the areas where they are being inefficient.
Taught in a classroom setting, each session consists of eleven regular classes and a brush up class. Classes last approximately three hours. Additionally, students take three practice tests during the course: a PSAT, an SAT and an ACT test.
No extra fees. Once students enroll with PREPARE they can attend as many brush up classes as they like for free. They can also contact PREPARE for advice and for analysis of their official test scores, again for free.
PREPARE communicates regularly by email with parents and students. Also, I am always available to text or talk on the phone.
Students are strongly encouraged not to miss class; they are not allowed to miss two classes for any reason. However, if a student MUST miss a single class, they can make up the class on an individual basis at the cost of $150 per hour.
Parking is readily available at all classroom sites.
