This is the worst boat that I ever been on. The captain is not only arrogant, rude, and sarcastic he needs to Retired. You need to also watch the mates with your fish. I was missing at least 4 or 5 fish thats really ashame. I am a fisherman for a long time and this particular trip takes special tackle and equipment that cost a lot of money and it was a waste of time and money. Don't do it. This boat will never get a dime of my money again.

If you plan on booking this outfit, LOWER your expectations as far as they’ll go and you may have a decent time of it. Rail numbers mean nothing. Everyone pretty much moves around wherever there’s an open spot. Jigging off the pulpit is a rotation determined by the drift direction. Good until a speed jigger shows up and won’t move to allow you to pass by. 3 men, 3 day pulley lite…total 3 fish heading home….three drift sets per day…lotta barren ground covered with little catch..won’t waste another penny in Key West in this lifetime!

Puts you on fish!!

I took the June 22nd trip and it was terrible. The captian will put you on fish but he is extremely arrogant. The bathrooms and bunks smell like a dumpster. Here is an email I sent after my trip and have had no response. Good afternoon Alana I am writing you this email to bring a few things to your attention that happened on the June 22nd trip. When my cooler was being loaded up the stairs they had it hooked the handle broke falling back towards me. I tried to stop it and hit my right ring finger dislocating at 90゚ the opposite way. Corey immediately brought me ice to reduce the swelling. A few hours later I brought it to the captain's attention and asked him if he knew what happened to my finger and he responded by saying yes so do all the other 36 passengers on the boat know. He never so much is offered another bag of ice or to ask if I was ok. Cory and Marco are amazing mates as for the other two I watched them 4 or 5 times arguing with each other and using language that was totally inappropriate. The captain and the other 2 mates made myself and my friend feel that we are lucky to be fishing on the Yankee Capts. Iam also in the service industry and would never treat a guest with such disrespect. I come from NC 3 to 4 times a year and book fishing trips like this. Had the captian and other 2 mates not been so rude we would have booked another trip before we even got off the boat.

He will probably be drifting considering he will be pretty deep
It is customary to tip 20% of the price of the trip. However, that crew works really hard so I give them $100.00 each. They really make the trip less cumbersome and more enjoyable.
The website has everything a list of everything you’ll need.
The will be drifting with a sea anchor from the back of the boat,if you fish from the front of the boat, there is a good chance your line will go under the boat. We always like to fish the back corners so your line will drift away from the boat.we love to fish on this boat. Hope you have a great time. See you there
