My group came to mangrove mamas needing to get in and out before a football game started… not me… they did an awesome job giving us great food and service, all in time to get back for the game. So accommodating and kind! We super appreciate it, I only wish I could’ve stuck around while these guys watch the game.

Four of us stopped in for dinner. Drink order was three mojito's and a beer. Food order was plantain encrusted grouper, shrimp scampi over linguine, groubon sandwich, smoked fish dip and coconut shrimp. The mojito's were fair, a second drink would have been different cocktail for three of us, however the beer was good. A point of concern for the mojito's was that some of the mint was very dried out and having very little flavor. The groubon sandwich was reported as being very tasty and a unique twist as a reuben style sandwich. The coconut shrimp were not battered in a coconut batter, but appeared to be battered as the normal deep fried shrimp would be. The coconut rum dipping sauce was very tasty, my opinion however is that this should not be the component to make this the coconut shrimp. The smoked fish dip was a new dish to three fourths of the group and was not as expected. The one individual however did enjoy it. The plantain encrusted grouper was tasty without the accompanying coconut rum sauce, however the rum sauce did add a new flavor element to this dish. The shrimp scampi over linguine was reported as being very tasty, the garlic bread was also a tasty pairing for this dish. The ample serving size required a to go box for the leftovers.
