The people at CAC are so amazing! They have helped my family in many ways and I cannot begin to express my gratitude! They offer rental assistance programs, assistance with utilities and so many other (extremely valuable) resources. Everyone I have had any line of communication with here has been kind, understanding and compassionate. It's rare to find these kinds of resources AND be met with respect and given a sense of dignity. It's nice to talk to folks that seem to genuinely care about both their job and helping the community. Thank you to everyone at the community action council! ❤️

Our policy is to make appointments over the phone or through our website scheduler. To be fair in applying, we do not accept requests for appointments by email, voicemail, or fax. Due to the high volume of people in need trying to access these services, it is imperative to process all applicants fairly and equally. Please remember appointments are made on a first come, first served basis. + Note that our phone lines become extremely busy when we first start scheduling appointments due to the large volume of people calling in. The phone lines are consistently in use during this process. Calls are processed in the order they are received to the best of our system’s capabilities. Please show patience, as well as persistence, when calling to schedule. When you are on HOLD, please do not hang up– as you will lose your spot in line to speak to a representative. It is not uncommon to experience HOLD times of 15-20 minutes, sometimes longer. We strongly encourage people not to give up calling

We understand the frustration of not being able to get through on the phone lines. Our phone system has a capacity for a certain number of callers to be on hold at a time. If it disconnects, it means there are no spots to place you in the que to remain on hold. Please keeping trying to get through. We had 1,600 callers in the first 30 minutes. Our staff are diligently answering the phones as quickly as possible. Thank you for your understanding.

Mason County is still scheduling appointments for Energy Assistance. To make an appointment, or to see if you are eligible, call (360) 426-9726. All of the Thurston County and Lewis County Energy Assistance appointments have been filled between now and the end of December. If you did not receive an appointment during this round, you may be eligible to schedule an appointment in January. The next opening day will take place on Friday, January 4th for Thurston County and Tuesday, January 8th in Lewis County. Phone lines will open at 7:00am and the internet will open at 9:00am on each county's respective opening date. Please call the office in the county in which you live if you have no heat or no lights.

Lewis county Energy appointments opened today. Mason County opens tomorrow. Thurston County is already booked out i believe.

All the phone numbers are disconnected or non-working the whole list needs serious updating. Thank you though for whoever took the time to put the information together. Anyone who has ever been faced with eviction/utility shutoffs know the value
