Poorly maintained golf course. Really pocketed greens.

This is the former course that used to be East Bay Golf Club, but since they have been remodeling and moving holes around and creating new holes it has really been a phenomenal place to get out and play. I'm glad that they were able to remove the 2 holes by the I-15 Freeway. That caused some problems and made it kind of ghetto playing that close to a freeway where a Tracy Zobell hook off the tee would demolish a window on any type of vehicle!! They have 18 CHAMPIONSHIP Holes and a par 3 course that are all in great shape considering that they are still at it with the remodel. Once it's finished completely, this course will be even better.

I recently played here for the first time since they had to re design the course and I think that they did a great job. I really enjoyed the new holes and redesigned existing holes. I think that the move to a native area rough and bunkering is fantastic, it makes it feel more like a links course. However the condition of the course was disappointing. The greens were very shaggy and slow, making it very hard to enjoy the courses newly done green complexes. If they can dial in the conditions I'd be much more receptive to playing here more frequently.

What a great course! I’ve got friends of all handicaps and all of us agree what a fun challenge this course is. Lots of risk/reward shots that really bring ones course management into play. Playing here is not only fun but has improved all of our games. Lots of Karen reviews by little you know whats, that think every course should look like Augusta on the daily and if not they cry. Don't go to steakhouse if you're a vegetarian and then complain about the food. If you're not good enough to play this course then move up to the appropriate tees. Apparently the majority of the people that leave low reviews lack common sense and then blame the course for their stupidity. Learn to play the game and enjoy it for the challenge it is. I play here often and the par 3 course is a great tool for sharpening up my short game. Cheers
