Irene's personal touch at the Wooden Duck will always be remembered by my family. We will recommend this charming, spacious Inn to our friends on their trips. We especially loved our breakfast with the peach desert. Loved the personal attention and charming, spacious rooms. The Canvasback room my wife and I stayed in was huge and luxurious with a warm fireplace that would be perfect as a honeymoon suite.

The Wooden Duck hosted my husband and me along with our wedding parties for our recent wedding at Lake Mohawk. The owner, Irene, is absolutely delightful. She and her team go above and beyond (and then some!) to provide a wonderful experience. The property is gorgeous, the rooms are huge yet cozy, and everything is incredibly well-maintained and clean. Some of our fondest memories of our wedding will be our stay at the Wooden Duck. LGBTQ+ friendly.

This is meant to be a quiet and relaxing vacation. However, there are lots of things to do within a close drive!! You could go horseback riding, visit Lakota Wolf Preserve, go on a winery / brewery trail, and I'm sure there are even more options for other outdoor activities in the summer. There are also a lot of delicious and eclectic restaurants within a short drive. If you're going to be staying in NW Jersey, you have to stay at the Wooden Duck!! Their breakfasts alone would keep me coming back :-D
The Newton Theater is a 5 minute drive from the B&B.
We are within 5 to 15 minutes of many area venues including: Perona Farms, Farmstead Country Club, Newton Country Club, The Conservatory at Sussex Fairgrounds, Bear Brook, Rock Island, Crossed Keys, Skyview, North Shore House, Lake Mohawk Country Club and more...

Absolutely Trained Service Animals under the ADA guidelines are always welcome? Due to guest allergies we cannot not accept general pets at this time.
A 3 course breakfast is included and served every morning. We also provide a grab-n-go breakfast for those needed to leave very early. Breakfast is generally served at 8:30AM and 9:30AM in weekends. Other (earlier) times are available during the week.
The entire inn is Air Conditioned. Common Areas, Jr Deluxe, and Deluxe rooms have fireplaces! We are open all year.
On premises you can hike our 10 acres plus the 4000 acre park surrounding our B&B. We also have bikes you can borrow and an in-ground pool. There is boating in the park, rail trails, Horseback riding, antiquing, breweries, wineries and even a distillery all within a short drive. Tons of great restaurants. Yes. Each room has a private bathroom. Each room is beautifully decorated and comfortable.
