I live on the other side of Nebraska (way out West, by Wyoming) and any chance someone in my family is in Omaha, we come here. My mom is there now getting our favorite bread, Lithuanian Sourdough Rye (we have called it Black Bread since we were little), and Bacon Buns for me if they have any today, plus anything else that tickles her fancy. My German Grandmother introduced this to us and would be lost without it. Love you guys!!!

My grandmother worked here about 30 years ago and we enjoyed the apricot torte whenever we visited I’m sooo happy that this place is still there and I got my apricot torte and a fresh loaf of sourdough rye bread

Such a sad experience. again. The place is so dirty, I would love for the glass to be cleaned so one could actually see what's in the cold cases. The pastry we purchased was at least 1-2 days old - but was not labeled as such. We found out the hard way when we tried eating it at home. The female employee had dirty clothes on and displayed such poor attitude that, after a few attempts, we choose to no longer trying to engage her in a conversation. I guess she maybe just didn't want to be there. We are always for supporting small businesses and buying local, but this was just too bad of an experience.

I definitely agree. Haven't had the pzczki here, but everything else I've ever gotten here was "the best I've ever had" in comparison to elsewhere.
