The park is pretty and the spit is amazing! I appreciated the informational displays; some could be refreshed a bit. Better signage as what needs to be paid where and to take your National Park pass to the entrance would be helpful. The woman directing us where to sign in was patient and helpful but it shouldn't all fall on her shoulders! We had a couple of laughs with her, which was nice.

What a gorgeous place! It's about 6 miles to the end of the path, which is where most of the wildlife can be seen. We didn't walk that far but it was beautiful anyway. You can get amazing views by walking about half a mile through a shady forest. Well worth the trip (and the $3 entry fee).

Very cool beach formation. It’s a 5 mile hike to the lighthouse at the end of the spit. Once you get down to the beaches, there a pretty good view of the Olympics.

Love this spot! Feels like we can completely get away and have some nice walks yet we only minutes from home. And you are not camping on top of one another

Dogs aren't allowed on the beach. It's part of the nature reserve. However the adjoining country park is up on the bluff and has a labrynth of trails that dogs are allowed on. Hope this helps!
If you go you need to drive and feed the animals(especially the buffalo). That's an experience you'll remember. Take 1-2 loaves of weat bread per person. With a group coupon l think it was $10.00 per person. Expensive but worth it. Bring a lunch.
