This place is full of COVID. Also, if you get COVID there they kick you out. They don't care if you have no where to go they just kick you out. Food is terrible and cold. Staff is very unorganized.

First off the person that answers the phone need to be fired everytime I call up there I'm on hold for 30 minutes or better than they click over and hang up 3x it happen in one week that person don't like there job go find other. Than you end up having to leave a message and no one calls you back 3x in one week that's sad need to get some people in there that really care and not just there for a paycheck. Sad, sad,sad

I work in Social Service at another agency at O’Hare. Haymarket at O’Hare really helped me out in a serious situation involving an elderly man I found wandering the airport . A good example of two Social Service agencies working together. A complicated story with a good outcome - finding a solution was challenging and took a lot of coordination in the end he was reunited with his family The happy ending would not have happened without the assistance of Haymarket staff Thank you to Loretta and David from Haymarket Susan

No they don't. But for the patients that qualify for methadone will be transported to a near by methadone clinic. Usually Men do not get that option. They are given suboxone instead. However there are always exceptions to the rules ESPECIALLY at Haymarket.
Haymarket Center has Recovery Homes for men and women. To learn more contact us at (312) CAN-HELP (312) 226 – 4357
No phones, no visits, no leaving, and only the food they serve, and the staff is rude as hell
If you are checking in to a rehab the last thing you need to worry about is working. You got bigger fish to fry
Im sure there is. Start with admissions. Haymarket is a great place to start a new life.
Yes. Read the previous questions, and their answers. Only place in the city with a 24 hour detox. 😊 👍🏻 Go get yourself better ASAP.
Its helpful but not completely necessary. But if you just walk in with out an appointment they may not have a bed.
Can u get a medical card. Go to Haymarket any way. They are really good at helping you get a medical card and and other important things you need like State ID's, birth certificates etc. I would DEFINATLY go. I've been there 3 times the first time I had no insurance they set me up with all that.
We do hold AA meetings for clients in residence, but we have not re-opened general public meetings just yet.
Thank you for contacting us, James. Please call our Central Intake team to talk further about admissions. They can be reached at 312-226-7984 ext. 480. We look forward to helping you.
Hi James, we accept walk-ins at 120 N Sangamon Street, Chicago IL 60607. Admissions are open 24/7 with no wait for assessment.
We take the health and safety of our patients and staff very seriously and have developed mitigation strategies with guidance from the Chicago Department of Public Health. We do not currently have the capacity to isolate patients who have tested positive for COVID. Additionally, due to city budget challenges, they are no longer offering respite sites for patients who have tested positive. As a result, our current policy is that patients who test positive and are able to safely isolate at home are asked to do so. If you would like to have further conversation about this protocol, please reach out to Jeff Collord VP of Operations at 312-226-7984, ext 331.
Hi Stephanie, Patients can bring up to 10 outfits and three pairs of shoes. Outside food is not permitted, but we do have vending machines that have candy and snacks. For more information on the type of clothing you can bring, please call 312-CAN-HELP.
Hi Lokka, Haymarket Center serves individuals regardless of ability to pay. A sliding fee scale is available for those with limited means to pay. Due to space considerations, clients in-residence are limited to what they are allowed to bring into treatment. Each treatment program has developed specific outlines for allowable clothing and personal items. Below is a general outline of allowed clothing: 10 outfits 7 undergarments 3 pairs of shoes (1 pair sneaker, 1 pair dress shoes, 1 pair house shoes) 2 sets of sleepwear (pajamas) 1 each of any of the following items: jacket/coat, robe, purse, belt, boots (if winter) Hygiene and tobacco products
Intake can help figure what the best program is for you and help you get access to benefits. If you stay through recovery home, we can help you find a job. Call 312-CAN HELP.
Yes - you can certainly enter treatment what Haymarket while pregnant. We will help you have a drug-free, healthy baby, and we have a wonderful peer who is a doula who will be with you every step of the way. We have immediate availability - please call 312-446-3584 and talk to José.
Thank you for reaching out! The length of time in treatment depends completely on individual needs. A pregnant woman might stay all the way through her pregnancy and then up to six months after the child is born, in both treatment and recovery home programs. Some people who have already had treatment in the recent past might need only two weeks in residential. Some people will be fine in outpatient.
I dont believe they will provide you with personal information. I'm certain if he checked himself in, he would probably need to call you
Haymarket Center is 24/7/365. Come anytime you’re ready! #HopeStartsAtHaymarket
Thank you for reaching out to us. Clients are typically only allowed to leave the residential program in which they are enrolled for necessary medical care. However, we welcome visitors. If you call 312-226-7984, you can be transferred to the program your friend/family member/partner is in and then ask about visiting hours. If you don't know the name of the exact residential program, you may call anyway and ask how to identify the program, assuming the person you'd like to visit is a client and/or has authorized such information to be released. We hope this helps.
Its best to go with the "one a day" rule when someone is going to treatment. Bring an outfit per day and you should be safe. About three outfits for sleeping should keep you fine. Make sure you stay toward the "comfie clothes" style, and you'll do just fine. One of two of the outfits may want to be dressy-casual outfits as residents do have the option to attend the church service on Sundays, as well as if they have any talent shows or outside meetings around the corner. You do want to make sure you have enough hygiene products to last awhile, especially if family and friends are too far to make visiting days, or the products would have to be mailed. All hygiene products should also be alcohol and aerosol free. Its always good to bring a cheap pair of shower flip flops, as they don't always have sufficient donations to provide them. Reading materials, and writing materials as well as stamps and envelopes are a good idea. That should cover most things needed. 😁

Detox is usually 3-5 days, depending on individual need.
They do not charge anyone for treatment. Also, they are one of the only treatment centers in Chicago with 24 hour detox. You can walk in any time, day or night, and receive treatment. Even if you do NOT have Medicaid, they have DASA funded beds, which allow people who do not have insurance to receive treatment.
As soon as you walk in the door. Pregnant women have priority status, and they will take you as SOON as you walk in the door. You can walk into haymarket 24 hours a day.
Yes, Haymarket has two gender-sensitive inpatient programs which provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT), including Suboxone. Haymarket may also provide MAT to persons experiencing withdrawals and to clients at later stages of their recovery, as well. Contacting Haymarket’s Central Intake department will be the first step to assessing treatment needs and options. It may be reached at 312-226-7984 ext. 480.
Yes, visitation is arranged individually between the client and his/her counselor. For more Q&A information please visit: http://www.hcenter.org/about/faq

Yes!!! I was working and the can work around your schedule. I had a 5pm meeting on Mondays. You will make it even if u are scared. 6 months clean in March. I had doubts too but it works. God God bless you.
Call them, and they'll do a phone assessment where they ask you a bunch of questions. They'll tell you if and when they have available beds & when you should come in.
No. You have to go thru treatment first. Its not a hotel. Your focus is treatment. If and when you finish treatment you can request to move to the next level in which you can work. And it differed between men and women
Not sure but u can always try.
