Just put my 12yr old golden retriever down, they were kind and respectful. He had never been there before and they let me bring in my puppy. Thank u

Moved to DesMoines 2 weeks ago. Yesterday my dog fell ill overnight, and was suffering terribly, she was 13-15 years old (not sure as we rescue her), she needed to be put down to end her suffering. This vet refused. We spent the next 90 minutes watching our sweet girl have seizures, repeatedly aspirating emesis. It was absolutely horrible. Honestly, it was worse than putting her down myself with a pistol like I did my last one. Thats not an option in the city. So we suffered, and she suffered. Thanks for turning down THE ONLY JOB YOU COULDNT SCREW UP. We are walking distance from you. You could have saved our dog from suffering and you wouldnt do it because we weren't established customers- in otherwords- you hadnt made enough $ off us and knew we wouldn't be back. It takes 20 min to put a dog down, start to finish. You could have helped. HEARTLESS. Ive owned dogs my entire life, and I will get another- but this operation will never get another chance. Disgusted and heartbroken.

Fractious cats are always a challenge to treat. As we are a Gold Standard Cat Friendly Veterinary Hospital our staff have taken steps to minimize stress in cats, including fractious ones. Sometimes we are able to use gentle restraint to handle these patients, sometimes we will use a short acting anesthetic combination so that the cat doesn’t get more stressed out and hurt itself. Using cat pheromones in the hospital helps to calm some of these cats down making everyone happier. In your case, you can gently cover the cat with a small blanket or a bath towel in order to pick it up gently. If you cannot get her into a cat carrier, then we would recommend a box or laundry basket big enough to gently put her in. Just make sure she cannot get out. Dr. Culver
