It cost a dollar. They will stamp you hand and for that day you can come in and out. If you find a part you will have to pull it so my recommendation is to bring tools with you if you are looking for a certain part or think you might need something.

Retired Mechanic, keeping old cars alive because it's too expensive to buy a new one. I've been their many times. You should have no problem finding a compatible starter. Most Chevy/Gm 350 v8 (5.7 liter) use same/similar starters. Bring your old starter with you, they might give you core credit towards purchase. Not sure on that I would recommend a refurbished starter from a retail parts store, unless you need the most inexpensive solution. Retail will have warranty. Junk yard won't have warranty. Still best Pick&Pull I've been to, so far in Midwest.

Yep I was there about a week ago they have a ton of Ford Taurus 's out there just take it's apart first so u know what tools ya need instead of bringing ur whole tool box.

There is a loaner tool kit and a chain hoist you can rent for $50 each. If you return it intact you receive your money back. Also for free there are A frame engine pullers to hook the hoist to. You will probably need more than this basic tool kit to pull an entire engine though.

I don't think they keep an inventory like that, but the best way is to walk in and look. They have an interchange that will tell you what years and models are similar to yours.
