Hideaway Harbor Park is useful for accessing the Mississippi River. It has 2 boat ramps and ample parking. There is also an accessible dock and plenty of other places to fish. If you use the vault toilet be careful. When I visited there was a paper-wasp nest in the soap dispenser. So when you try to get soap, you get wasps instead.

Great place to sit on the bank and watch the river float by, great scenery of the Palisades, Elsah Illinois is across the way (i posted an image I took from the bank here), and there are established Bald Eagle Nest on the Islands. It depends on the person; either you expect things to be there for your personal convenience or maybe what's there naturally to see is all you need? The energy in the river makes it a pretty special place, often quiet and seldom visited on weekdays It was a private marina that a tornado took out, now a park

Love it, peaceful and quiet.

Great place on the river to launch a boat or have a picnic

I was there yesterday and its accessible. All good.
I would contact the County cops and ask them or at least let them know it will be there so they can keep an eye on it.
Not really. Have to go down 94 to 367 or over to st charles by 370
U can't rent slips here, it's a public boat launch
The park closes at dark and is well patrolled. You can fish at the Shrine, the bridge on Portage Rd. and Dressler Island. Stop in Warners Garage and ask the Mayor, Mark Warner. He can tell you better than I can.
