Banfield is just not the same anymore. They never have appointments available or at least something that its not a drop-off. Good luck if your pet gets sick or needs a medicine for the day because you’ll have to wait days to be taken care of. I just got told that they only have ONE vet on a Monday morning… insane. Their only solution is to send you to the O’Fallon location… having the monthly payment doesn’t “make” you a customer or give you any benefit. I have been taking my dogs for the last 15 years but that stops today.

Banfield Richmond Heights is just the best! The staff there are super caring and very friendly.

I moved my dog from this location to Metrovet. The Vet and the whole team seemed to care about what my dog had going on. If you considering sending your pet here drive 15 more and go to Metrovet.

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
They have different plans. It is not like an emergency medical service it is just for preventive maintenance such as rabies shots and other shots required and they check for worms and other things. They do not provide prescriptions you have to order those on your own and if you want dental care for your dog if it is extra every month. It is just a payment plan so that you don't have to pay single fees all up front. But it is a pretty good deal and you have to call them about their different plans 8. I take my dog to the Banfield Pet Hospital on Clayton road near saint Mary's Hospital. They do work through some got smarts but I will not check my dog there.
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
