Great place to go with families, good mix of history and fun for all

They don't open the buildings right now without a tour guide and I think it's great! Our guide was very informative. We just went to an event where they demonstrated pottery making, sewing, weaving and many other skills. Everyone was informative and interesting.

The toilets are horrible. At least clean them put sinks on n so one can wash their hands. And toilet to flush . It was horrible.

It is free, but donations are accepted. Also, money spent in the gift shop remains at the park to help pay for updates.
We paid for something when we got there, but it may have been a donation. They have a cool passport set up for kids to mark the state and national parks they've been to. There was also a cute store with all kinds of old toys, recipes, etc.
You can either stop by the front desk at the visitor center or call (217)345-1845. There are 4 pavilions of different sizes and amenities, so it's helpful to go out and decide which one you'd like before calling.
For 2018, it's September 22nd and 23rd.
The full schedule of events is available on the website, lincolnlogcabin.org, and also on their Facebook page.
