Just went to get my passport. Did not realize I needed to make an appointment. Augusta was incredibly helpful and did it anyway for me. Very nice people here, even though they are probably incredibly overworked and understaffed. Definitely would come back.

Go to Www.usps.com and click the passport link. It will walk you through setting up an appointment. Bring your birth certificate and drivers license and completed application to your appointment. Takes about 15 minutes. Total cost is $161.25, cash or debit.
