I’m very disappointed with my experience at this medical facility. We’ve recently moved to Dinwiddie, VA and we were so thankful to have providers minutes away from home. Unfortunately, some of the staff at Dinwiddie Medical Center lack professionalism in their response to patient concerns. Our appointments were changed without notification, and when I called to get assistance, the receptionist that answered was not very helpful, and she made no effort. She was very nonchalant, and ignored my inquiries without consideration. I requested to speak to a manager, and the receptionist transferred my call but it got disconnected, and no one bothered to call back. I decided to call back and spoke to the manager directly, and she made effort to find an appointment that worked for us, as we were on a deadline. Please teach your staff to show more compassion and empathy when patients call with concerns, sometimes that makes the biggest difference for a patient. The Providers are okay, they took the time to listen to your concerns, but lack a personable approach. The nonchalant attitude did not only come from one of the receptionist, but also from one of the nurses. It not only happened to me on multiple occasions, but to my husband as well. We’ve only been here a handful of times, so that is enough for us to consider another medical facility.
