Banned Harlequin hunting with no comprehensive study to back their decision. No community involvement nor constructive conversation opportunities with this department. What an awful public service to the state of Washington

Wonderful people, great service. Keep it up!

I'm from Missouri where $12.50 gets you 4 poles and fishing any public river or lake in state. Washington is out of control, paid about $30 last year to find out it's +$17 more for 2 pole endorsement, salmon is a joke....no barbs,no wild,no big ones, littles ones, no Sunday mondays or Tuesdays. Most rivers are elbow to elbow and most lakes have little fishing access from shore AND the fish ARE to spoiled for just worms...you gotta figure out what the hatchery fed them to get them to bite. I cant even start my ocean experience until I get a loan and a lawyer to keep me in the right waters with the right equipment. The rules can change DAILY so it's easy to break them if your going by outdated news. I SPENT $44 THIS SEASON JUST TO FISH freshwater/2pole endorsed. My kids just turned 16 and 15 so they are considered adults needing full price licences. No wonder these anglers are not enjoying the sport/hobby....after all the $ they invest it does feel like a duty to frown on others breaking rules weather on purpose or not.

Yakima county Fish and Wildlife managers are in my opinion neither professional nor humane. They also do not follow public safety policy. The manager at Oakcreek does not know about nor regard the policy about herding an injured animal into traffic across a busy highway. Scott M. at the Yakima office is not aware of this policy and is defensive about the issue. In my opinion both these gentlemen acted like boys playing wildlife management.

No you should cook it and eat it
Contact wdfw about salvage permits.. should have info on their website
Depends on what Lake or river you want to fish. Check the fishing regs located at dew.wa.gov
Yet you breed and show dogs for a living... you are worse than the local rancher
It's open pretty much everywhere except for marine areas 11 and 13. Part of area 12 is closed as well. You can always download the Fish Washington phone app for up to date regs.
Call WDFW ENFORCEMENT IN OLYMPIA. THANKS

Not if there is a hatchery only restriction since you have to be able to prove that it was clipped, and the species can still be identified easily. At the very least, keep the entire carcass, and be careful to avoid damaging the adipose fin.
May need to read the fish and game encyclopedias volume 10 and get a lawyer to help out
You'll end up paying for the cost of the replacement as well as any catch card, if applicable. This can be done through the wdfw website. The links should get you to where you need to go
Your City Hall or police station, or, directly call your cities Animal Control office
As far as i know nothing here is closed on the Peninsula.
