A sweet little ferry reminiscent of the early 1900s. I bet there is some history there. It is definitely worth riding again.

I took a quick drive today in my hometown to visit the Sans Souci Ferry. The water looked great and the 2-car ferry was in operation. Nice! I wish they would do more with it by putting a boardwalk with benches or maybe clear an area facing the water where you can park and observe for a bit.🤷🏾♂️ ...maybe in the future.

A nice little ferry service across the river. Perhaps the last cable ferry in NC. I would highly recommend it. Don't be deterred by the dirt road to get there. I was on my motorcycle and it was fine.

Yes, I was on it a couple of weeks ago.
It's not even open yet. But it just crosses the river. Probably the smallest ferry you ever seen. It broke down last year and they haven't gotten it fix yet.
I have been told it is now back in operation.
