I’ve been a loyal customer for some years and was disappointed today when I asked for a courtesy pickup because of an accident that occurred with my garbage and was told no. They say in the other reviews that they care about there customers, well it doesn’t show when a simple mistake can’t be forgiven by them. :( Money for there company seems to matter more.

Professional and friendly crew who respect the neighborhood in which they serve. I appreciate how cautious they are driving around my highly pedestrian neighborhood.

I do not agree with the price raises with gas price as a reason. Gas price is back down and you are very picky in what you accept. I had 1 bag of garbage and 1 cinder block in my can you would not take the cinder block. People put all kinds of things in the over filled cans but you won't take 1 cinder block. I barley have any garbage ever. In a year I think I have had 2 price increases. You know it will force people to look elsewhere. I think the business knows we have no other real option so actually you could raise the prices every month there is no contract because you would have to stick to a contract price, that's why there is no contract. I guess I'll have to smash all my cinder blocks for you, put in bags, put in the can but then i'm sure it will be too heavy,.....uhhhh

I had to empty my parents home of 40 years but they had been collecting stuff for 60 years - it was overwhelming to say the least but the kind professional prompt care I received was priceless. Every single interaction I had was kind and personal and responsive. I used 3 dumpsters to get the job done and can’t thank Illini recycling enough for their service and care!

The only things I've seen accepted are cardboard, newspaper & magazines, office paper, aluminum, & plastic. No glass.
No. They take aluminum and tin, plastic, newspaper, and magazines.
Yes, for an additional fee. You need to schedule it on your normal pickup day so just call the office and they can help get everything set up.
They don't accept old cans of paint for recycling, but they do accept latex paint if its dried out in the garbage. They don't take acrylic in any form
If you missed your pick up you can call the office and ask about a return pick up. It's a $5 fee.
If it's acrylic or oil based I believe your only option is Safety Klean for disposal. Regular water based paints can be disposed of with your regular household garbage by contacting your garbage hauler. I'm not aware of options for recycling them. Depending on quantity and condition the habitat for humanity restore could be an option for reuse but you would have to check with them.
You can ask a question to Illini Recycling directly through the contact us form on their website, www.illinirecycling.com
The pick up day depends on the address. There's a map on our website or you can call the office during business hours.
Yes, they will.
No, unfortunately propane bottles are considered a closed container and we are unable to take them.
Ms. Mitchell, at this time we do not but it is something we have been looking into. Thank you for checking in!
They did not observe Columbus day...but they do run late some times
