I only gave one start because I can’t give Zero. Unfortunately I can not give a review of the food being as thought we never received our order. My husband and I placed an order on the website. Pickup was supposed to be ready at 4:59. We arrived for our pick up at just before 5 and the place was closed. After over an hour of back-and-forth with the phone between the owner and DoorDash because apparently they pick up the stores online orders I was told to come back at 6 PM to pick up my food. That was absolutely fine with me because I understand how systems work and I know that sometimes there are issues and apparently my order went through when it shouldn’t have. My husband and I showed back up at the restaurant at 6 o’clock and it is was still closed and there was no one there. We proceed to start calling the owner and we were being sent straight to voicemail. After my 10th time trying to connect to the owner she finally answers and tells me that she’s farther away than she thought. She wanted me to come back to the store for a third time to pick up my food which would have been around 7 or 730 if not later. She then proceeded to tell me that she was just trying to please her customer and she is sorry that she was taking longer than she thought she would be. I asked her why she did not just tell me from the beginning that she would not be back in an acceptable timeframe and for me to just get a refund on my order. After I explained to her that I felt like she led me on because she wanted to keep the sale she then let me know that she does not need my sale and she has plenty of customers that she keeps so I would not be missed. I will not support any establishment that runs their self in such an unprofessional & untimely manner.

If you want good and hot food you have to wait anywhere you go, the food was delicious we got the cat fish and bbq chic, and for dessert we got the banana pudding, which was to die for. Will definitely go back. 😊

I was very excited when I saw this on UberEats. I was craving soul food. Well I was very disappointed. The pig's feet was an extremely small portion. Overcooked dry mac and cheese. And gizzards re-fried so hard you couldn't even bite it. I wanted to love this spot. But hesitant to give it another shot.

Wow such amazing food. I was visiting my daughter who lives in Essex and she recommended this business. I live on the eastern shore so I couldn't wait to get home and this food is soooooooo good. I can't wait to come back and try the ribs.
