Saturday the 10th between 2-3pm Timothy was a HUGE help (he gets 5 stars) when I was completely ignored by the self-checkout staff while standing by the register as instructed by another employee because customer service was closed. Timothy asked another teammate too assist me to my surprise is a “red vest” front end lead that cussed the entire time she was processing my return on register 9 with two other guys, one completely degrading another customer for a language barrier and misunderstanding of a process to purchase cigarettes. The other young man was just listening, and talking too the other two. The entire time the girl just kept cursing and being really unprofessional. After she finished my return she shoved my receipts in my hand and quickly rushed me off still cursing while talking to other two young men. If I where a secret shopper this would not been a pleasant experience. I work not too far from another Kroger, but I like this one better I know how to navigate the store; I’ve been shopping here for 3+ years. Furthermore, it’s on my way home from work. But, if I have to inconvenience myself by shopping at another Kroger (whom the young lady wore a APU shirt) as a manager speaks and acts like that towards customers. Then it is truly, truly a sad day for customer service. Don’t culturally appropriate me to act as if I wear my culture as a costume. She acted as if being “ghetto” in front of me was ok! It was not! If you represent your company like this how do you present yourself? I felt offended from start (brushing pass me by customer service)( personal space) to end (rude, aloof, disrespectful).
