Terrible customer service from the service department. Buyer beware before you let them get their hands on your machine. Brand new L3901 started leaking hydraulic fluid at the backhoe unit after 5-6 hrs of use (40 hrs on tractor) on 2 separate occasions on 2 different fittings. Called for advice and spoke to Bryce. He said warranty issues could only be diagnosed at the shop and it was $200 to transport. Since the 1st service is due at 50 hrs., I asked him what the 50 hr. service cost was. He said $500 at the shop or $700 in the field. I delivered the tractor and asked him to diagnose warranty issues and that I might do the service early if warranty covered the hydraulic fluid and related issues. I called 3 days later after no updates and he said they had been trying to get ahold of me (I bought the tractor there. My contact info is on file.). He said the service was done and the bill was $635. Nothing was covered under warranty and he wouldn’t stand by the $500 quoted on the phone. In addition, there was a bent pin in the backhoe unit caused by no grease. (Again, backhoe had 5-6 hrs of use.) thanks He blamed me for not greasing the unit (recommended every 8 hrs). Said that nothing leaves his shop without grease. He said he could overnight the part if I need the tractor. I told him not to but I would like the tractor as soon as possible. He overnighted the part anyway and stuck me with the $60 freight bill. I left there with over $1,000 bill on a quoted service of $500. Was never told the price for the pin until it was done. Be aware Kubota won’t stand by their products. I would have been a happy customer if they stood by the $500 quoted service, covered the leaked hydraulic fluid (~$50) and either didn’t overnight the pin or covered the freight ($60). (Maybe ‘Sorry you had to deal with this and lost time on your project’ is asking too much!!) I expected more on a brand new tractor with 40 hrs on it.

Just wanted to send you a note after taking delivery of my machine. Thanks so much Ryan for helping me pick the right options and working through the ordering process. You were great. The tractor is perfect and I am beyond pleased with it. I also wanted to thank the delivery driver Kevin for all the time he spent with me. I tried to just say thanks and let him leave, but he insisted on walking me through the features of the tractor, maintenance, and how to best use it. I am glad he did, because I quickly realized there was a lot I did not know or was just plain doing wrong! He really went above and beyond in helping me feel ready to use the machine on my own, and I am very appreciative. Thanks again for everything and I look forward to future purchases. Loring Cox
