We were a group of tourists coming in our last day in Seattle to rent a boat.. we arrived 7:10pm and the salesman refused to rent us a boat! We explained our situation and how we were excited but he was not friendly at all .. I was willing to pay for an hour and ride for just half an hour but he refused .. not the best experience for tourists

We rented a Quad pedal boat. The cost was reasonable. We had doubts about taking 3 year old but when asked staff said she is allowed and told she will be fine. They gave life jackets to all of us. Staff helped us to board. My 8-year-old and 3-year-old enjoyed the ride. After 35 minutes my daughter was hungry so I and her got down. Since my son wanted to continue the ride my friend went instead of us - staff was so friendly and accommodated our request . I got a cookie, lemonade, and cold coffee from the cafe - I felt 3 dollars for a cookie is pricey. The lemonade was super sweet and the coffee was ok 5 stars for Green lake boathouse 3 stars for cafe

Visited this cute cafe for coffee, it was delicious. Internal decoration is great, and people are very friendly.

Had a great time but there were a lot of spiders in the 4 person paddle boat. Can the boats be cleaned?

I'm really sorry for your husband. I would say it is not advisable to leave him alone as there is a low chance of trip over and he could find it difficult to get back in boat. Why not rent a tandem kayak and you can drive from back?
It costs about 24$ per hour for a kayak or a boat.
