I would not recommend this school to my worst enemy. I am a newly graduate from this school. My class went through 5 teachers in 9 months, the inconsistency is unreal. Its obvious why the teachers quit or leave. Our esthetician teacher was also in charge of the cosmetology floor so she was constantly rushing over theory with us. I seriously felt like a bother, the esti teachers are kind but its way too many students for 1 teacher to handle. That is why I wouldn't recommend night classes. We were given Elixir of Life skin products in our kit. Elixir of life is made from all natural ingredients, they did nothing for my case study which had type 2 acne. I stopped using their products and started purchasing my own. The reason I chose this school was because of the location and the price. It is near 2 major highways and its the cheapest school within a 20 mile radius. I wish I could have paid the extra money to go some place else. I am however grateful because I met a lovely group of woman who shared a common interest with me. Although I would not recommend this school I did however learn body waxing very well .I'm more eager to learn about ingredients in products. I feel like I received a certificate without actually feeling like I achieved anything.

The instructor Ms.Tangela is very knowledgeable about the hair and the care for the hair plus styling. My hair has been styled very nice each time I received service at John Amico cosmetology school.

The student who helped me was very nice and pleasant. However, there was plenty of empty chairs and it took over two hours for a shampoo and cut. Had gotten garbage stuck to my shoe from the floor, and there were not enough capes for all the clients. I requested around 3 inches and it looks like they took off at the minimum 7. Had to pretend I had a doctors appointment because the teachers kept walking away and talking amongst themselves. I wish the best to the students but I will not be back here and am very disappointed.

We only are closed the days of the Holiday because we have one of the largest school client base in the US. So we look at the needs of our clients who want to come in for the Holidays. Our students get far more servicing skills and that is why they become so sought after by salons and spas. We want students to be Salon/Spa ready when they leave. This is a long answer but our students love the fact they get to work on so many clients and they are so skilled.
Yes, I've seen them do it. You have to bring your own hair.
