My family became LA members in 2018. We moved in the beginning of this year and not able to visit LA locations as we don’t have LA anywhere nearby. I’ve been trying to cancel my membership since February. Emailed, called, showed up in person multiple times and finally was able to cancel it in May. All this time we were not able to visit LA fitness even once but they were charging us for the membership of course. Finally, in May I was able to talk to the manager and got confirmation of membership cancellation. In addition, I was told I will get refund for May but have to wait for that to be processed. Instead, I got charged again in June! I am very dissatisfied, disappointed, and irritated by this. Please, stay away from them! Get membership with some other fitness club if possible to avoid hassles we are going through with LA. They only know how to charge money and don’t care about anything else.

Manager here is very rude Adi. Went into establishment with a free three day pass. Got the tour and went over packages. I didn’t want to commit at that time so she said I would need to make an appointment in two hours to use guest pass. Asked me and my 13 year old son to leave the facility until my appointment in two hours. Very disappointed in how I was treated.

Fraud As a Business Model If you've made the mistake of opening an account with LA Fitness, they will continue charging the card you place on file after you cancel. I'm now on my second week of trying to get them to cease charging my card, however they don't seem particularly interested in actually resolving the issue. There's a thin line separating incompetence from malice, and seeing as LA Fitness recently had to pay out a massive settlement for fraudulent billing practices it's safe to assume the issue I'm dealing with is the latter.

Gym is very nice, clean, has a daycare if you need to drop off kids to still get your workout in. 5-8 pm is super crowded and people tend to "babysit" machines bringing over other equipment to a bench for instance and holding up that machine for half an hour before ever actually using it or claiming to use two machines at the same time while spending 20 mins on another before switching to the other one that they are claiming. It would be for manager/somebody to do rounds breaking that up. It really ruins the experience.

Not that I am aware of, no one under 18 years of age in the pool
Its about $37 per mth. Remember LA Fitness charges $49 per year on top of your regular monthly dues (as of this writing).
