Jones Park is a lovely riverside park in downtown Renton. There is a play area surrounded with grass. There is a long path at the street level and a long riverside pathway with benches that is about 8 feet wide and well paved with flat brick. The design and landscaping is just beautiful. The other end of the park, closer to the freeway, has a large play area, a nice skate park and a baseball area. This is a definite stop by and check it out when you area in the area. Peaceful and calm with running water.

This park is small but cute. It does not have much to do and the slides are a bit boring. It is cute- I like the dragon, but not amazing. If you walk down the river a bit towards the library, behind the library, there is a better playground and the walk is nice.

Nice hidden gem of the north neighborhood of Renton. Clean park with access to nice spot on Cedar river. Locals have been building a dam on the river making the current calmer and the depth a little deeper to enjoy the water more. I grew up in that neighborhood and graduated from Renton high in 2004. I took my kids to my old stomping grounds for the first time. Nice to see my old neighborhood still clean looking and respectable.

one tree was recently taken down due to Dutch Elm Disease. the remaining two closest remain for now. let's hope the ongoing care and treatment for this blight. is effective i videoed the Event to memorialize this old Tree. video will post . david jones park was donated in 1924 and i assume these Trees and the Wisteria Vine are part of that Event. 50 years ago one could drive from Renton (wild roses were. planted for miles on 167) but one could drive thru Kent on central ave the trees are almost all gone now..through a TUNNEL OF TREES.. these trees were planted as a monument of the end of ww2. Vernon Lewis: call gma charlotte. i was only 23 when i first came here from Oklahoma..i am now 73. i can tell a tale or 2
Still can park fee's have increased though
I see fishermen in the River
