I have been buying mulch from this company for 20 years. This year when my family used Scotts mulch i got FUNGUS GNATS. Our family had to hire an exterminator for the last 3 months. All we wanted was the $400.00 that we paid for the last 3 months on an exterminator. The Scotts company did not care and said they where not at Fault. I informed them i am a Veteran and our house is spotless inside and out. We never had bugs until we got this years mulch. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY They ARE NOT HONORABLE IN MY OPINION, WITH THERE 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE POLICY. Reference number #44034584

They have trucks form two lines in front of docks which leaves no room to, well, .... dock!?! Needless to say, not an organized place or very bright. Guards are useless and rude. Receiving clerks are lazy and rude. This is one to avoid.

If your mulch is Scott's Nature Scapes with color guard also marked as Scott's Best Mulch, not only is it moldy Deb, it is infested with bugs. The bugs are called psocids and they multiply like wildfire. I stupidly put about 20 bags of this mulch in the ground surrounding my inground pool. My summer swimming is ruined because the psocids have invaded my pool. They love moisture and continual dampness. I've had an exterminator, Ehrlich's Rentokill, twice and they are returning for a third time Friday. Scott's offered only to reimburse me for each bag so long as I can produce the sales slip. Well, I can produce some but not all. Reason for the lack of all receipts is "who" saves a receipt for mulch? Not like you bought an appliance or tool, just mulch. The $2 each I paid for each bag is nothing compared to the damage. My summer is ruined. So much for being a grandma to five grandbabies who love to swim!
