It’s only a matter of time before this place shows up on a documentary about corruption.

Only thing I’m upset about is I have to pay a ticket for an accident I was involved in with ONLY ME no one else was involved. Other than that, the clerks department has been more than patient, gracious and kind with me. I appreciate the customer service

There's a reason people hate Ohio, and holy hell is Lima, OH now one of my biggest reasons. I was put in an unfair situation driving home to Cincinnati on I-75 when a highway patrolman cited me for going 82 in a speed limit zone of 70, and I know for a fact that I was not going any more than 75 mph. So I decide to cut my loses and go to the court hoping to plead not guilty, talk to a prosecutor for a reduced fine and get the whole thing taken care of in a couple hours. Another driver from Indiana was given this EXACT treatment for a similar situation to mine. But did I get that luxury? Of course not! The judge denies me any chance to explain myself and immediately makes me sign a bale form so that I'm charged $1000+ if I don't show up to a new court date. Now I am stuck waiting for this new date that I have to plan around a busy work schedule. All for going 5 mph over, just like 99% of the highway traffic does on a daily basis. Why was I so blind to think justice exists in this God forsaken wasteland of a city??

Effective June 1, 2017: If you are delinquent on paying your fines and/or court costs and you do not have a payment plan with our office that you are in compliance with, then your account may be turned over to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles for imposition of a license forfeiture and registration block. This is in addition to your account being turned over to Capital Recovery Systems, Inc. (the official collection agency for The Lima Municipal Court since January 1, 2014). Bureau of Motor Vehicles, IRP/Deter Unit PO Box 16521 Columbus, OH 43216-6521 (614) 752-7500 Capital Recovery Systems, Inc. 750 Cross Pointe Road Ste S Columbus, OH 43230-6693 (800) 693-6835 This will cause your driver’s license to be suspended, prevent you from getting / renewing your license plates / titling a vehicle, and turn you over to a collection agency!
Across the street there is parking and it costs a dollar.

Good afternoon. Please call the Traffic and Criminal Division Clerk's Office at 419-221-5275 to ask this question. There are several factors that may have to be considered to calculate fines and costs.
Yes but they charge u a fee for using your card. If you pay in cash no fee.
Call the clerk's office and they will tell you...
I would recommend calling 419-221-5275 and select Probation in the phone options to ask this question.
Best to call 419-221-5275 option 2.
Go to limamunicipalcourt.org and search under criminal case inquiry. It's all public record.
Second floor . The officers at the door can help direct you.
