Great Library which has one of only two jazz rooms in the entire US. Attended the fantastic two hour free lunchtime live jazz session. Exquisite music. Will come back many times.

Went in to find some books in the classics section... The woman who helped me was extremely nice, which is why I gave this two stars. Aside from that... The philosophy section... HAS NO PHILOSOPHY. All self help books written at a 4th grade reading level. Not even a single book of Plato for crying out loud. No academic philosophy, just a masquerade, honestly. The classics section was extremely small, but I was happy to check out some books... and then they told me they require proof of address when I brought the library card of whom I am living with temporarily, because I just moved here a week ago... had to go put up all the books I found, which even though it was only 5 books... They didnt offer to put them up for me. Overall... not a good experience. They could do a lot better.

I've never checked out a book that wasn't in great quality. That one must have been missed. I'd just talk to the desk staff

Sorry, I don't know. Give the library a call.
Yes in the rear of the building
Yes
I am not sure. You can call them. They are super helpful.

Not only do they have urban books. The library offers reading programs too. That's too funny, yes they're inside the building, which is located in an urban area.
There's a small lot behind the library, and parking on the street in front of the library. No time limit.
They are closed on new years day
Yes they do.
To get a library card, you must have a valid Escambia County license. I believe they ask for proof of residency by showing a bill. And welcome to Florida. 😊
