Such a neat experience. We showed up to just look and see the grounds and gift shop but was able to squeeze in to a tour! And it was wonderful! Child friendly. Both children were with us as we were only passing through and they walked on the tour with us. Tasting was a treat for your pallet! This was really the husband’s dream stop on this family vacation so we made it happen!! Thanks Maker’s Mark for showing us around!

Really neat grounds. Informative tour by a very funny Chris (who did a great job). We ate at the restaurant. Our food was excellent (pork belly sandwich) and don't forget a bourbon slushy. Topped it off with dipping our Ambassador bottles (ambassador for life est.2001) in the famous red wax. Really enjoyable experience. Everyone we encountered with Makers Mark were extremely pleasant!

This is simply a MUST VISIT on the bourbon trail. Our tour guide was incredible. He was funny but also went very in depth with his explanation of the facilities, the grounds, and the general history of Maker's Mark. I learned so much about Maker's Mark during my tour. The grounds were absolutely stunning and the tasting at the end of the tour was great as well. Then we got to dip our own bottles in the gift shop which was awesome! They also have some exclusive flavors only offered at the gift shop. Overall experience was a 5/5 and I would return just for the offerings at the gift shop and to dip another bottle!

We had a great time touring the distillery. Beautiful location, great tour guide (Bree-sp??) and delicious bourbon. The tasting was so good! Hand-dipping our own bottles was an experience. Very interesting history there.

How much for the basic tour and a tasting and dipping a bottle ?

There's 4 different tours ranging from 14 to I think 50 bucks depending on the experience you want. Dipping is free but you have to buy whatever it is you want to dip. Bottles, hat lids, sunglasses...you name it.

Can a 15 year old be on property? Also does anyone know if you can mail bottles, if you are an ambassador picking up bottles?

Yes, someone underage can be on the property and can take tours. They can not participate in the taints or dip a bottle in the gift shop. You can mail bottles of alcohol, though I'm not sure that they will ship directly from the distillery, you may need to go to a post office.
