Coming down the river from KC and trying to hit the GIWW. Hoping to avoid a long delay at the Inner Harbor Lock into Pontchartrain. Is it reasonable to go down to Ostrica and then into Breton and up the MR-GO to Hopedale Marina?

There are some spots in the area that I've seen people bank fishing. You'll do much better with a small boat and staying in the marsh.

Is hopedale open? What about the roads.

I like fishing the area. It can be hit and miss. If you go out a bit by some of the offshore platforms, the fishing is usually pretty good.
