This review is based on the gumbo that I ordered for take out on Sunday night. It was a small container that wasn't full. About 8oz. It looked like very dark broth, it was extremely salty, had a little bit of rice and small pieces of sausage. I'm sure this restaurant has better food, but honestly this shouldn't have been served. I couldn't even eat it. Very disappointed.....I hope the manager and chef take note of this.

Inside the Watermark Hotel. A bit pretentious but not without charm. The draft beer selection was surprisingly down to earth but the vegetarian options were scarce (I had googled a vegetarian restaurant). I didn't want to stuff myself with a cream ravioli dish for dinner and settled for a house salad and a forage flatbread. The salad came in an incredibly nice earthenware, was in itself good but drenched in vinaigrette with an acidity that was too harsh and did not leave space for the taste of the veggies. The foraged flat was advertised as containing locally farmed mushrooms and I was looking forward to tasting earthiness. What I received was well meant but poorly executed. The mushrooms came mixed with whole, softened cloves of garlic, blue cheese, way too much salt, and a healthy helping of honey. I did not taste mushrooms at all. I ate half of the flatbread and picked some mushrooms bits from the second half that turned out to be good as far as I could tell under salt and honey. Staff was good.

Went to Dinnner at the Gregory last Saturday night with my Uncle. He had been there before for Sunday Brunch. After a somewhat lengthy, unexpected, unexplained wait although we had reservations and there were plenty of tables available after talking to Management we were finally seated at our table. Kent our Server did a fairly decent job of serving us. Didn't have the best attitude but was fairly knowledgeable concerning our menu slections when it came time to order. They were out of the Red fish which I was looking forward to trying. I had a bowl of Gumbo and a Market salad which were both delicious. My had a grilled Shrimp dish with some type of pasta which he thoroughly enjoyed. He even ordered two orders of the grilled Shrimp to take home for his Wife to sample. Will probably go back to try the Brunch menu. Hopefully the service will be better the next time.

I see nice reviews of the food, I liked to know if the lighting is warm and inviting? The photos on line seem to reflect the atmospheric lighting as compared to Luby's with a few fluorescent bulbs out. Thank you

The lighting was very nice not too bright nor too dim. I found The Gregory to be very nice, we had a friends birthday dinner there.
