Hi yes it's allergies for sure, my Papillon had it. The infection is coming from them scratching at it. The vet gave me gentamicin sulfate and a the cone of shame (so she couldn't scratch that it). Worked very well, but it did come back a few weeks later. Again it's allergies so it came come back. I also decided to get her an allergy shot which worked to keep allergies at bay.

Time to make a trip to the vets. Hope you did baby gets some relief. I have a dog that is allergic to grass so she gets a shot to help with the bumps and scratching and bitting. Good luck.

I have been going to Dr Sue Olivier at Acadiana West for 30 + years and find her and her staff to be very knowledgeable, compassionate and friendly. They are all very good with all my dogs that have been patients there throughout the years. I have called a few times at the last minute without an appointment and her wonderful staff had always managed to get my dogs in to see her. Dr Sue is attentive and listens to all my concerns with my dogs and thats something rare. I have recommended her over the years and now many of my friends bring their animals there. Thank you Dr Sue and staff for being there.
