This used to be my favorite coffee shop in the city. They had a slow bar where you could sit and watch your barista prepare you a Chemex, V60, Kalita, or even a Siphon coffee. Watching and conversing with the barista is where I learned how to make coffee at home. What a sad moment to learn that after they finally reopened that they don't do that anymore. Now they're like any other coffee shop selling lattes, cappuccinos, and drip coffee. Plenty of other cafes around if that's what you're looking for.

Seattle is a place known for coffee shops and I was looking for something cozy and friendly downtown. Seattle Coffee Works hit the spot. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable as I asked about their coffee (bought some to bring back as well). Latte was tasty, as was the pumpkin bread I ordered (it was Halloween after all!). There were numerous people tapping away on computers and no evidence of being rushed. Located right near Pike's Place market.

Great coffee place right next to pike place market! Their cappuccino is one of the best I’ve had, and their squash bread is a whole meal on its own. Definitely recommend for anything from a relaxed study space to grabbing a quick bite!
