This place was really cool with a small connecting park above the bridge. I'm glad my family and I were able to visit this site during our stay in Seattle.

It’s a brilliant public works project. I love to see the city rally around local artists. The story goes that after the bridge was erected in 1932 there have been troll sightings under the Aurora Bridge since. Hence the street being named Troll Ave. In 1989, Seattle asked the Fremont Arts Council to launch an art competition to help aid in rehabilitation of the neighborhood. Artist Steve Badanes won and built the troll you can visit today.

A must visit cool street art structure. Easy to find and is not crowded as well. Spot the Volkswagen Beetle the troll is holding. The street below bridge also looks good. This structure has been featured in Hollywood movies too (10 things I hate about u)

Really cool art installation, not to busy and you can get some great pics if you climb up top. Bridge overhead looks cool if you turn around from looking at Troll and look down the street, local bus stops were close too.

Questions & Answers

Im trying to do my state project so im askin this question. Does the troll represent the story of the 3 goats?

Yes, there seems to be a connection! If you approach the Troll from downhill, 2 blocks away there's a garden sculpture of 3 goats. We were visiting Seattle, not natives, but got the reference from walking that way.

I can appreciate your wild side ;-) But, only if you stay in your car. It's dirty. But it sounds kinky to crawl on top of his head and get er done!
