I was here for 2 years. I enjoyed myself here. I was a professional photographer. I had many great times here to photograph the various bands they had in approx once a month. They had some very good bands. I watched Billy Wray. He was very good. Huge turnout. Also they had various food events. Christmas New Years were very big occasions and we served several times thru the day. We had cheese tastings, wine tastings, tea tastings. I also participated in making jewelry. I loved the game room. We had bowling. Also other games. Tournaments even. The rooms varied from Studio to large bedrooms. I met many very nice people here. I loved the managers here. The menu board when I was there was knew. I got to do it. I also helped with the meal services such as cleaning up or filling salt shakers. I did it just to help. It was not required. I enjoyed the Linglestown area. My doctor's were all close by. They do have a garage if you choose to have one. Balconies were available. I truly loved it here. I also walked a few times to the Giant a few blocks away and Members First just for exercise. They have a shuttle however. They used to have homemade cookies muffins even candy fresh daily. Oranges apples. Coffee and tea all the time. I miss being here. I met so many good friends here. It was a few years ago. Good memories.

I 1have been at The Manor for almost three years. I sought a facility where I could make friends and have meals prepared when I didn't feel like cooking or didn't feel well. Both have been achieved! I have an unbelievable amount of new friends and acquaintances. Since the hiring of two new chefs, the food quality and quantity has improved markedly. Now we are under some issues as we await the repair of the walk-in freezer. As I approach a change in employment at month end, I want to be sure to stay busy and involved. I am seeking consulting and/or part-time work principally working from home. In the meantime, I want to be involved at The Manor, right now developing some simple volunteer activities that can be done to support The VA in Lebanon, Homeland Hospice covering South Central PA, and Troopons, a national program putting grocery coupons into PX's across the US and overseas. We are doing this as part of The Manor's Art Club. The residents who organize the Art Club activities are anxious to expand the interest in various art activities. Volunteer services have been my work experience for the past 22 years. Personally, I am working on my porch garden, filling it with seed geraniums, portulaca, elephant ears, tall yellow-orange marigolds and more. Come visit The Manor! We have new residents always moving in. You're never new for long! Carol .

Administrater is verbally abusive. My Mother can not afford to live here and wants to move out. He verbally attacked her at her room. Told her she may not move out until she hives a whole 30 day notice. Is forbidding her from using the elevator ( she is not able to use stairs and she is on the second floor). So she cant go downstairs for her meals. This man does not belong here.
