I love this local city recreation center been enjoying the facilities for the past 6 years - staff is friendly - they have so many activities for everyone. This place isn't just for kids - racquet ball courts or wallyball (form of indoor volleyball using the walls) - exercise classes - swimming. You can also fill out paperwork & a Pit down a to deposit rent out the nearby indoor basketball courts. Also nearby is outdoor basketball courts an off leash dog park, baseball & soccer fields.

We ( my 7 years old daughter and my 4 years old son) went there on 02/17/2022, as they announced the end of program we wanted to use the family changing room, as some one was inside we had to wait till the room is available for 3 of us, this was the time that a girl ( lifeguard) started rushing as out of building and kept telling us you have 6mins, 3mins etc. Then I had to wrap my kids with my dry clothes I brought them from home and took them out of the building. They didn't give my kids a chance to put on something or wear sandles or shoes. My kids were crying because their feet were cold on the street.Absolutely no peace of mind, Lynnwood is much better in tact and principles.

Best for smaller children. My older kids were not excited about this place and the lifeguards were pretty strict. When my kids were younger I think it was more enjoyable and age appropriate as the water is shallow in two out of three areas.

It is absolutely amazing what "they" fit into this rather compact, octagonal, circa 1980's building: shop for swimsuits and water toys, indoor toddler playground, reception area, hot tub, (very small) cardio room, a small lazy river-like whirlpool, 2 lap swim lanes, shallow kiddie pool with slowly descending ramp, aqua exercise pool with water basketball hoops, small diving pool. I have been too many much larger and much more luxurious communal spas -mainly in German speaking Europe- but it is just amazing how much the planners have fit into this much smaller and older facility in Mountlake Terrace, WA. The intelligence and creativity of whoever planned and designed the Mountlake Terrace facility is simply AMAZING! Every town in the country should take this rec center as a model and example how much you can do within a fairly compact space with limited means in what looks like a middle class setting. SIX STARS!

Yes, we do have swimming lessons for children. Our next session will start the week of September 13. Registration will be September 2nd. We currently have very limited options due to a shortage of swimming instructors and lifeguards. go to our website at www.mltrec.com for a schedule, which will be posted later this week.
Hello Jennelle Our building is 53 years old and has been renovated to the point where we can accommodate some of this. We have a ramp entry on one side of our pool, we also have a lift for the deeper area and in our hot tub. We have a stainless steel/water wheelchair that those who need it and can transfer into. We are a public pool and offer a variety of programs, most seniors come in the morning hours. Our changing rooms have a couple curtained off area, we have a family changing room and an on deck shower. Today is the first day of summer program so many of our programs have changed. our schedule can be found by going to www.mltrec.com then clicking on the Pool Schedule button.
1967-68 Opened in November of 1968.
We dont know when it will open. It depends on the Governor. We are planning for Phase 3.
Not until we are in Phase 3 (Snohomish County). Thanks.
Hi Renate, the Pavilion will reopen in Phase 3 as designated by the Governor's Office and Health Department. As of now that date is still undecided and dependent on local health data. Childcare operations are operational at the Pavilion but no dance, fitness or aquatics programs.
Hi Ruth, we cannot open until at least Phase 3 and pool parties themselves won't be until Phase 4. We currently aren't booking any parties. Thanks.
Yes it does, and I believe it's slightly cheaper if your a resident. Check the times and costs on there website. They have a nice small child area, I was going there with my 1 year old and my older nephews as they like the lazy Roger area and the mats you can run on in the water.
The leisure swim is available now until 2:30, but includes only the leisure pool and river.
I don't know the answer to that ' sorry.
The 5:30 pm class is cancelled for the evening due to reduced demand for programs tonight. Every other water exercise class prior to 4 pm is on schedule.
Yes and yes. The rate is cheaper for MLT residents, but affordable even for non-residents. Unfortunately I do not recall the actual dollar amount off the top of my head.
We have multiple rooms for rentals. The Riverview Room can hold 50 people and Arctic 25, we can open the doors between the two rooms for a single renter.
The do have water aerobics classes but you would want to look online to see class times as they change with each season. Pricing also depends on your address, its a couple bucks cheaper for city residents.
