I will start by saying that my family has taken our beloved pets to this vet clinic for over 20 years. In 2021 my dog died a very traumatic avoidable death. She was brought in multiple times, and was never diagnosed correctly. Ultimately she died of a preventable problem. The new Dr. is very nice, so we did decide to stay at Gerber for our new puppy. However the rudeness over the phone every time I call, and the hoops they make you jump through just to save some money on prescriptions is unprofessional and absurd. Do yourself a favor, this is not the clinic it once was and find another adequate clinic.

I waited on the waitlist for close to a year because I heard such good things about Dr. Drapo, and was not disappointed. She was very knowledgeable and kind and provided a much more thorough examination for our dog than we’d received by our previous two vets. We feel very fortunate to have such a good vet for our care.

We have been patrons of Gerber's small animal hospital for more than 18 years. Ever since Dr. Gerber has retired the new owner has been extremely unprofessional and the quality of care has plummeted. About 2 months ago our 9 year old dog was having difficulty breathing. We called the office on a Monday for an emergency appointment and were turned away, stating they had no opening for our dog even during the week. We sought emergent care at another facility which prompted the staff to become rude towards us for going elsewhere. When our other dog started having issues and again we were turned away because they "didn't have time," we were discharged for "not trusting in the provider." I would highly recommend avoiding Gerber small animal hospital, as the owner has no regard for the pets she sees. Look elsewhere if you care about your pets.
