I go All the time to get my hair treated and dyed. My hair always ends up growing very well and Everytime I walk out the salon I am very satisfied.

On (3/22/22) I went to “Hair it is” for the first time. My stylist was Yolanda. Let me explain my experience in detail. 1. Attitude: As soon as I sat in Yolandas chair, she gave me attitude .. she said “you were calling us and we weren’t here yet… we are a place of business of course we answer the phone. If no one answers that means we aren’t here yet” (she said this with attitude.) —Well excuse me. Google says you guys are open at 8am. It was 9:30 when I called. (And I only called twice.) Change you hours on Google instead of giving me attitude. 2. Incorrect Style: Yolanda kept asking to see a picture of the style I wanted. I should’ve known that her constantly asking for a picture meant she didn’t know how to do the style. I wanted a curly pixie cut. Instead I walked out with a uneven fade that was VERY short. (Shorter than desired) It’s so short all I can do is throw a wig on. I can’t even get braids. (Literally 1-2 inches of hair is left on my head.) As soon as I left the place I cried walking to my car.. it was awful. AWFULLLLL!! Tbh, I don’t even blame Yolanda for the bad haircut. I should have never stayed being that she didn’t greet me and was rude to me. I also should have RANN when she kept asking to see the style over and over again. But I’m over it now. My hair grows fast. And it’s just hair. But, I am not over how I was treated here. And how I felt while being in this lady chair!! 3. Lacked Customer Service: THE ENTIRE time Yolanda talked to the other stylists. (After our first encounter.. she didn’t say a damn word to me. Literally!!) 4. VERY Over priced: I paid $65 and all I got was my hair washed and a haircut (that was done incorrectly) (for the wash, it was just shampoo and conditioner. My hair wasn’t even blowdried) So, $65 dollar for my hair to get washed and a haircut? I could have went to a barber and paid $20-$30 for that. (And the haircut would’ve been even) Overall, I had a very bad experience here. From the moment I walked in the door, it was just an unpleasant experience. (Only one stylist, seemed to be nice. She also talked to her clients the entire time. I don’t know her name but she had long hair..) I do want to say that my review is not intended to bash this establishment. I am black and I love supporting black businesses. HOWEVER, I am a graduate student who works very hard for her money. I want to share my experience so others people know what to expect when coming here. I also want the staff to see this so they can IMPROVE!! * I do not recommend this establishment, unless you get the stylist with the long hair. I think her name is secret; but I’m not sure.*
