during my time at the PRTF in 2017-18 the staff were cool but had absolutely no control over the kids the horses were great the food was absolute garbage but how kind the staff were and how coll the other kids are and how i made friends there they made it much easier being away from all my family
MISTY
This is a very welcoming, nurturing, & the employees treat the people who attend as they would their own children\family basically the saying we all were taught in preschool "Treat others the way you want to be treated" is exactly how the staff treats those who attend Eliada Homes. I've worked as a CNA and as a Habilitation Tech before I was in a bad accident and sadly in the majority of nursing homes the residents are treated in ways no one would ever want to be treated; In group homes for the mentally handicapped aren't treating their residents like people but I do know from prior experience with Eliada Homes they treat everyone there including one another the way they want to be treated, the way anyone (majority of average people there's always exceptions to the rule if you get what I mean) would & should be treated. Out of all the day program type facilities in this area this is one of the best.

A lot of people run away. I was a client once. I 100% do not recommend this place.
Depends what they want to do with your child. When I was there, they'd lock me down for 1-2 weeks for anything that broke the rules or if I had a crisis.
Yes, we offer foster-to-adoption services. You can reach out to our foster care team to learn more. http://www.eliada.org/get-engaged/become-a-foster-parent/foster-to-adopt
Connect with TEACCH (that's the correct spelling) and NC Autism Society. Both are in Asheville and can provide a lot of resources.
Yes you can send money. But I would not recommend sapport for them. As what they do is not healthy for the kids there. There depression treatment is horrible and alot of the times kids there don't get enough to eat.
