The officer's at this prison in NJ are respectful and seem to care about the inmates and their family's while being held waiting to return to either a Halfway house or the Prison which they came from. Any court hearings to do with Family Court or additional charges an inmate may have got while in custody must be cleared by a doctor in order to make sure they are mentally okay. When no contact between your loved one can be made the COs do try their best to let you know how they are. They can only give so much info to callers due to the regulations of the inmates privacy.
