Dr. Dastrup likes to compare an implant to a fence post that is placed in wet concrete. For the post to be stable once the concrete dries, you want to keep it still and not continue to wiggle it around. An implant is placed in your jaw and new bone cells need to adhere to that implant to make it stable for years to come. For this reason, we usually wait 2-3 months to connect the actual tooth to the implant.
At Dastrup Dental, we work with most PPO insurance companies to maximize your dental benefits. Our knowledgeable team will file your claims for you, submit any additional documentation, and follow up with your insurance company whenever necessary. We are not in network with any one insurance company, but we work hard on your behalf to help you get the benefits outlined in your contract with your insurance company.
Depending on the severity of the emergency, most often we can see you that same day! Dr. Dastrup will do all he can to make sure that you are comfortable and out of pain and back smiling soon.
Yes, we offer a wide range of pediatric services from cleaning, to fillings. We have laughing gas for the kids as well. One thing we are known for is aiding in the growth and development of good dental arches so permanent teeth come like they are supposed to instead of being crooked. This also supports in the development of a healthy airway.
