We were extremely disappointed in the view. The photos shown on the add that we liked and decided to book were completely false. They must have been years old. There were 3 houses built blocking 80 percent of the view. The cabin was furnished with all types of junk with no theam. The cabin had very little storage for a long stay. Entrance at night very dangerous because of very poor outdoor lighting. We have been renting cabins in this area for over 15 years and this was by far our most disappointing stay.

Extremely well managed company who have their own blood, sweat, and tears invested into the company. Many of the staff are local and have been with the company many years, they have excellent customer service with their guests and respect for the vendors. Their goal is to give each guest a small piece of our home here in the Smokies to put into their memories for generations. Some even decide to come and make it their home.

Very clean cabin and very spacious for our family. Our grandkids really have been enjoying it.

We recently stayed at the Lazy Bear Lodge (October 2022) and we encountered and overall nice cabin, however there was a serious cockroach problem in the cabin. Although cabin notified us that there would be bugs upon arrival, we never envisioned it would be infested with cockroaches. It was hard to sleep in the cabin, since we had to keep the lights on to keep the roaches at bay and also we thought roaches might be crawling on us when we slept. Additionally, we made sure to shake out all our belongings before repacking the car. We had the cabin for 3 days but only stayed a 1 day and 1/2 and notified them of the problem the following week. I truly hope that they rectify the roach issue, because it seems like it could have been a really great family experience.

Depends on time of year and which cabin. I know when we went in April we ended up paying more in taxes and fees then the actual stay

Vicky, call 865-429-0955 and speak with Hearthside Cabin Rentals. I am not sure if we have anything left at this point, but they will let you know. Hope we get to see you!
Yes, if you go to their website you can search for cabins that accommodate how ever many you need.
not sure if resteraunts are open but cabins have fully stocked kitchens which makes cooking a breeze.
The one I went to was inside a pool house so I think it open all time
No hiking trails... Actually were warning sings of bears
They have an express check in as long as you email drivers license, paid cabin rental in full and sign all documents you can go straight to the cabin but you will need to get door code from them so you have to call the office by 3 p.m. on the day of arrival
Have not stayed in this cabin.
